Community League Leisure Program Consultation

The City of Edmonton offers a number of programs that provide Edmonton Community Leagues and their members with discounted opportunities to access city-operated sports and fitness facilities. To ensure these programs are meeting your needs the City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues are undertaking an informal review of the programs offered. Specific objectives include:

·         determining awareness of the programs offered;
·         understanding reasons for participating and not participating;
·         obtaining suggestions for improvements; and
·         acquiring feedback on some potential changes.

We have invited Presidents of the Community Leagues to participate in this survey and ask you kindly to take a few moments to complete the survey.  The email invitation instructed that participation first requires registration (click the login link at the top right of every page, then click register).  Contact information will be used only as specified with checkboxes in your registration. Registration will be confirmed immediately by email,  then expect another email from EFCL to verify permissions for you as General Consulation survey participant.  You may then login and the survey and the comment link below will be visible. Once registered, you may do all surveys without repeating this process.

If this seems a bit arduous, please be patient.  We keep the surveys private so the input is exclusively community league member content.  If you need assistance or instruction please contact communications@efcl.org  or call Valerie at 780-437-2913.

Once any refinements are made a communication strategy will be developed and executed. Thank you in advance for your welcome feedback!

Sincerely,
Rob Smyth                                  Alan Bolstad

Background Program Information Minimize
Community League Weekly Swims

Most Community Leagues rent weekly swim times at City of Edmonton Leisure Centres for their members. The leagues contact the facility directly to make these arrangements – often Community Recreation Coordinator and/or Area Councils are involved in coordinating league participation. Once the booking has been made, the participating league advises its members of the weekly swim time and location. Leagues members present valid membership cards to gain admission to their Community League’s Swim. In most cases more than one league shares the weekly booking time and associated costs.

Community League Wellness Program

This program was developed in cooperation with EFCL and provides any current member of an Edmonton Community League with a 20% discount on an annual pass and 15% discount on multi-admission passes. Community League Members must present a valid membership card in order to obtain the discount. This program is not subsidized by community leagues.

Bulk Purchases

A Community League may choose to purchase bulk single admissions to our facilities by contacting our Corporate Sales Representative at 944-7744. The following bulk discount scale applies to all facility admission passes including Fort Edmonton Park, Valley Zoo and Muttart Conservatory.
