In May 2018, the EFCL hired an Indigenous Project Lead summer student, Robin Cisek, under the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program to assist with building a greater understanding between community leagues and the Indigenous community in Edmonton.

On Saturday, July 14, Robin attended the Enoch Cree Nation Pow Wow and wrote about her experience.

Thank you to the Edmonton Indigenous Seniors Centre for arranging the transportation with Robin and for the refreshments! Thanks also to the Jewish Seniors Centre for joining in this opportunity. And a big thank you to Canada Safeway Southgate for the donation of water.
