Community League Operating Grant (CLOG)

What is CLOG?

The Community League Operating Grant (CLOG) is funded by the City of Edmonton through their Community Investments team. Leagues receive the grant to provide recreational programming in their neighborhoods. “Recreation” and its relevant scope is defined in the Tripartite Agreement between the City, EFCL, and Community Leagues, EFCL collects and compiles the data from Leagues’ annual reports and shares it with the City.

When is the annual submission due?

The CLOG submission is due 90 days after the League’s self-selected reporting date.

Prior to the 2026 CLOG intake period all League CLOG submissions were due at the end of February. In 2024 Leagues voted to change the CLOG submission deadline from the fixed deadline to a floating deadline, allowing the Leagues to choose their own self-selected reporting date.

Typically, Leagues choose the self-selected reporting date to match their fiscal year-end, allowing for data to be gathered, annual audit to be completed and presentation of financial statements to the League’s Annual General Meeting.

Leagues will receive an automated notification from EFCL 90 days before their submission is due.

What is the reporting period?

Leagues will report on the 12-months up to their self-selected reporting date. For example the self-selected reporting date is March 31 the reporting period will start on April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.

Financial reporting may differ from the reporting period as Leagues will report on the fiscal year that matches their most recent audited annual financial statements.
