New FINTRAC Regulations
You may have recently received an email from Communal asking you to update your information on the platform. This is due to new set of regulations that requires Stripe (Communal’s payment processor) to register as a money services business in Canada. These regulations aim to help protect against online banking fraud and money laundering and will be a straightforward process for registered charities and non-profits. You can find more information about these changes on Communal’s website, but if you need help filling out the questions, we have a list of suggested answers below.
