Dear Neighbors,
Sustainability isn’t just about conversation—it’s about movement.
The Pleasantview Community League is excited to invite you to an expanded morning of civic engagement and hands-on action on Saturday, April 25. We are bringing together the “why” and the “how” of building a greener, more connected community.
The Morning Schedule:
- 9:45 AM: Light Reception & Refreshments.
- 10:00 AM: Meet Councillor Michael Janz. Learn how to navigate City Hall, who to contact with concerns, and how to make your voice heard on transit, growth, and affordability. Followed by a Q&A.
- 11:00 AM: Neighboring for Climate. Discover this City of Edmonton program and how to start local climate initiatives on your own block. Learn more here.
- 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Get Moving! Join us in the parking lot to turn ideas into action:
- Pedalheads Obstacle Course: We are thrilled to be joined by Pedalheads! This Canadian-owned company helps kids of all ages get comfortable and confident on two wheels. They will have an obstacle course set up in our parking lot for folks to challenge themselves!
- Bike Tune-Up Station: Meet local bike enthusiasts who will lead us through basic maintenance to get your ride spring-ready. (Psstt.. can you volunteer your skills here, please reach out to Olga at civics@
pleasantviewcommunityleague.ca )
Come learn at the local level and take immediate action that helps your community and your neighbors. Bring your bikes, bring a friend or bring 10, and let’s get ready for a sustainable spring and summer!
Warmly,
The Pleasantview Community League Board
