When Edmonton adopted its new City Plan, it promised to change the development and engagement structure in the city, shifting to a District model, including specific District Plans. 

The EFCL has restructured our League Districts to mirror the City’s, to take advantage of the advocacy opportunities that will exist under the new framework. This workshop will empower Leagues to structure and familiarize themselves with this new system and better equip them to understand the power of Leagues within this context. 

In this event we will discuss:

• The current landscape and how it’s different from the past
• The League role within Districts
• Examples and methods of community engagement and advocacy from League to District
