Community Leagues are eligible to apply for rebates from Epcor’s new RainWise program. 

Reducing stormwater runoff is an important issue as our city continues to grow. 

Leagues can help by implementing projects like rain gardens or adding rain barrels or tanks that reduce the amount of stormwater entering the system, improve the quality of the stormwater released and prevent overland runoff from entering homes and businesses.

Projects can have the added benefits of acting as demonstrations for neighbours in the community as well as adding interest and beauty to the League’s licensed land. 

Eligible and projects for Leagues include: 

• Downspout disconnection
• Rain barrels and storage tanks
• Rain gardens and boxes
• Soakaway pits
• Absorbent landscaping

Depending on the project, the city’s community-led construction process will be modified in order to fast-track implementation.
