SPICE is a community-focused, one-stop partner for solar development and social financing that understands how Community Leagues operate. The program is designed to take the pressure off of League volunteers by providing a free feasibility study and assessing the League’s energy requirements. SPICE will act as the project manager for the League and obtain three quotes from a list of vetted installers, manage contracts, and oversee the installation. After an initial down payment, the remaining project cost is financed at a rate typically comparable to your current utility expenses. Once the system is paid off, all solar income goes directly back to the League.

Community Leagues that have installed solar systems have significantly lower utility costs and emissions. With the correct management and a beneficial utility provider, several Community Leagues have been net positive in terms of their electricity costs.
