Thank a Community League volunteer

Whether it’s hosting cultural and community events, coaching sports, planning for the neighbourhood’s future, running programs, bringing awareness on issues that affect us and our neighbours, we have community leagues and their volunteers to thank.

At the Resilience Festival, Feb. 8 – the public had a chance to thank their Community League volunteers and here’s what they had to say:

I would like to thank…

“Yellowbird Volunteers, public parks are a great source of recreation and stress relief, Thank you.” – Paul, Yellowbird

“Eastwood Community League for your efforts to make the building available for yoga Thank you!” Carla from Eastwood.

“Westmount Community League Executive – for the time and effort they put in to keep the community league surviving.” – Wes

“Nora, for helping us learn how to talk to people and for the lunch money. :-)” – Iman and Kassidy

“Our newsletter editor – I know how much work it takes and it keeps our league connected and in the loop! Thanks!” Don from Belgravia
