Often times those who are spreading this wrong information are unaware that the “facts” they may know are actually myths. Thus in an effort to address these myths, the LGBTQ+ Mythbusting project was developed. The hope of this project is to help people learn the truth about the LGBTQ+ community and help prevent the spread of these myths to more people. The project is made up of three different individual components. These would be an information document, a worksheet/answer key and an online quiz. The information sheet is exactly as advertised. It addresses some of the most pervasive myths that exist about the LGBTQ+ community and explains why they’re wrong. The worksheet can be used by a demographic and is an opportunity to work with a group in a more engaging way to educate on this topic.
