Cuts to League funding proposed in Alberta 2021 Budget
Cuts to civil society are being proposed in the Alberta government's 2021 provincial Budget, tabled on February 25, 2021. The Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL) and the Federation of Calgary Communities (FCC) are concerned about these planned reductions, especially those to the Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP). Possible League Membership Requirement Change for Minor Soccer
The Edmonton Minor Soccer Association (EMSA) is proposing players be able to register for soccer without requiring a Community League membership. This would be a very significant shift with far reaching consequences for Community Leagues and our relationship with EMSA and the five Edmonton Zones.
