Walk your Talk
EFCL can help you lead a Jane’s Walk in your neighbourhood

The pandemic changed Jane’s Walks but they’re now back to in-person walks. A Jane’s Walk sees everyday residents tell stories about their communities, explore their cities and connect with their neighbours.

Jane Jacobs

Who’s Jane?

Jane Jacobs was an urbanist and activist who championed a city building that was citizen led and inspired by the community.

What’s a Jane’s Walk?

During the first weekend of each May, volunteers lead free walks that coincide with Jane Jacobs’ birthday. Walks have been enjoyed across six continents.

This year’s walks are here. Go here to submit your idea for a walk. Reach out to Jane’s Walk Edmonton here.
